NOT ME SELLING! just wanted to pass this on. Car has no battery but considering the prices some places are looking for leaf motors etc this is a steal. You could easily end up with a leaf drivetrain for free by selling the rest of the parts.

Re: 2011 Nissan Leaf 1,500 Euros
Thanks Jack Bauer.
I've messaged the guy to see if it's still available.
On similar note, anyone thinking of buying from Copart needs to beware. I saw a Leaf go for over £3500 today and it had the battery missing. I thought it looked a bit high so emailed Copart and they told me the battery was removed. Some poor sod is in for a nasty surprise.
Hopefully it wasn't someone on here bought it.

LOL, She has her own toys so I don't take no nonsense from her!

Spot the double negative.

I just agreed a price with the guy so now to figure out how to get it home.

I hope so. I've organised to have it collected tomorrow as it's 150 miles away from me. The lorry driver will pay him after a quick inspection.
Hoping to have it on my driveway for under £1500

Delighted it worked out. Seemed like a nice guy too.

Re: 2011 Nissan Leaf 1,500 Euros
The car arrived today and apart from the dirty marks caused by the transport company chucking stuff into the back seat and dirty hands getting in, it's very clean. It's almost a shame to break it but I never wanted a Leaf as they are extremely ugly and as it was a Japanese import a lot of the stuff on the dash comes up in Japanese. Plus it would cost way more to replace the battery than the car is worth.
I got the battery box and a charger cable too but unfortunately not the granny charger cable. Hey Ho The guy agreed 1200 Euro so got a complete car for just over £1400 including the delivery and exchange rate. I think that was a bargain.
And yes the guy was very decent too.

The bonnet is open to charge the 12V battery as it was almost flat. The battery died a few minutes after it came off the lorry and it can't be moved with a flat battery.
I now have the very important job of procrastinating for a day or two while I make my mind up what the next steps are.
It's just how I do things.

Brilliant! Fair play alibro.
There's no harm in a few days staring into the middle distance, chin scratching, figuring out what to do next
I'm a pro at that

Build a track car? Would be great to know what the performance limits are of the Leaf drivetrain
