Ampseal - 22 vs 23 wires

Post by BlueHorizon »

Hi,

Quick intro - I'm one of Damien's customers who is on a journey to convert a 1980 Porsche 911 into a Porschla ;) . I'm using a Model S 85 motor acquired from eBay (part number for the motor is 1025276-00-Q). Right now the car body is still buying repaired and hence I'm using the time to prep and validate the motor is working.

I've replaced the inverter with a board that Damien sent me and that all went well. However, I'm now looking at trying to run some low speed tests to make sure the motor is working. Besides buying the right molex connectors from zeroEV, I also happen to have the wiring harness that came with the motor so thought I'd take a look at that to see if I can use it to rig up some tests.

After some fun unwinding the harness so that I can expose the wiring, I noticed that when I looked at the sheet for the Ampseal pinout (https://github.com/damienmaguire/Tesla- ... NEW_V2.pdf) it seemed like the OEM pin 23 should have had something wired into it but my harness molex does not.

Anything to be concerned about?

Thanks

Garry

Weird. As you are replacing the logic board it doesn't really matter. Can I ask you to post in the support thread please so we can keep all the information in one place.
