Does any of the supported boards support RPM control?
I.e. you can set a desired RPM instead of a desired torque.
I understand maxRPM can be set but that's not what i mean.
If so, which motors are supported?
Cheers,
Cees.

Re: Speed or RPM control
All motors are supported as all boards run identical software. There is a speed controller implemented called "idlespeed"

Re: Speed or RPM control
Thank you Johan.
We would like to be able to use either Nissan Leaf Gen1 or Gen2 motor depending on availabilitys. So you confirm they both work with your boards and this feature?
In theory, such a 'cruise control' could also be realised on the CAN- or VCU level. But the delay in the feedback loop could cause it to oscillate. Any experience with this?
Cheers,
Cees.

Re: Speed or RPM control
Yes, like said any openinverter board will support this as it is a pure software feature. Gen2 is very proven, Gen 1 has been reported to work but I don't sell it as a kit. It needs a different adapter board and that existing one required modification to work.
Never tried cruise control via CAN, but the cruise control loop runs in a 10ms loop which is also well doable via CAN. But like said, the idlespeed feature does just that anyway.

Re: Speed or RPM control
Thanks.
My understanding is that this forum serves as support for both your and EVBMW products. So I'm wondering if there is support for speed control & Leaf Gen1 through the EVBMW product(s).

Re: Speed or RPM control
EVBMW and openinverter inverter products are based on the exact same software
