We have decided to sell our Lexus GS450H because we have more projects than we can cope with at this time.
This car was purchased in the UK and driven to Ireland by Damien and Kevin. It is now registered in Ireland. The only known fault is that one of the battery modules needs replacing.
This car would make an ideal electric drive conversion candidate by removing the ICE (resale value ~1500 euro), Battery (resale ~1000 euro), Exhaust System (catalytic converters resale ~1000 euro), and fuel tank (resale ~500 euro). The engine compartment could then be filled with batteries and one of Damien's VCU installed.
Alternatively, the dual motor 'gearbox', inverter, etc., could be used in a conversion (see Damien's 7 Series project here) and the rest of the car sold in parts. It should be possible to recover at least 5000 euro for parts if you have the time and space to undertake the project. If it helps we may be able to offer some workshop space for a couple of weeks if you want to strip down the car yourself. We also know of a low cost mechanic who you could hire at weekends.
We are asking 3500 euro which is what it cost us to buy, transport, and register the car in Ireland.
