AURIS inverter Parallel MG1 and MG2 and DCDC question

Post by invokeperformance »

Hello I just found out I have a Auris gen 3 inverter instead of a Prius. However I have a Prius gen 3 logic board kit. I can drive MG2 no problem and FOC tune. Can I still parallel MG1 and MG2 by connecting the six solder jumpers on the board in the same way as I would with the Prius gen 3 inverter?

Finally for the Auris inverter; in addition to the needed 350V CAP upgrade are the 210k DCDC resistor location values the same as the Prius inverter?

(Prius instructions shown below)
replace 4 resistors on the top side of the board, these are R629, R627, R625, R623, currently 120k ohm, these will need replacing with 210k ohm
There's also 4 resistors to replace on the bottom, these are R630, R628, R626, R624, these also need to be 210k ohm.

Thanks!

Are you able to fit the Prius logic board in a Auris? To my knowledge the Yaris/Auris logic board is smaller.

Anyway, you should be able to parallel the outputs (MG1 and MG2) in the same way for Prius Gen3, Auris and Yaris inverter.

If I remember correctly the Yaris/Auris DC/DC controller board is different from the Prius Gen3. There are still 4+4pcs of resistors that need to be replaced. They should all be located on the same side. Unfortunately I can't find the instructions on the forum but they should be here somewhere...

Yes the Prius logic board fits in the Arius inverter but not perfect, but all the signal connections can be made.

I am also unable to find the exact resistor change location on the wiki or forum I only need to modify DCDC to handle 360v-380v .

Ok, to my knwoledge there is a 11mm difference in length on the logic board between the Prius gen3 and Yaris/Auris inverter.

Maybe the information regarding the resistors for the DC/DC can be found in a video by Damien?
