General documentation, parameters, error messages
I've been asked numerous times where for example a list of error messages can be found.
So I decided to create this sticky that just links to the wiki . It even rhymes.
Some deeper links As a side node: please do not send me questions via PM hoping you will get a quicker reply. You will not get a reply at all.

Re: General documentation, parameters, error messages
Will there ever a full manual that can be down loaded ? The info for : diag , installation , and wire schematics are all over the place . Have you guy thought of making a manual with all of the info ?
Poor quality lingers long after the cheap price is forgotten.

Re: General documentation, parameters, error messages
"We" have thought of many things but it is not how open source works. There is no "we" as in "the openinverter company". Nobody here makes bucketloads of money like in a typical producer/consumer relationship.
So, this is addressed to everyone: if you're unhappy with the current documentation situation, feel free to compile and maintain a service manual. I'm sure it would be much appreciated.

D/L pdf or other paper documentation, in not a good idea.
The online Wiki is much better, anyone registered user can edit it!!
Just go ahead, make the Wiki better. Even wrong information, it better than no information, then the busy gurus can correct it.....
Or just add a comment that it needs some corrections/verification.

Re: General documentation, parameters, error messages
Is the wiki intended for OI related things or also stuff like gathered knowledge about some motors/transmissions?
I’m researching and reading lot about the Toyota/Lexus transmissions and would be happy to gather a lot of the information spread around various forum threads onto one page but not sure about the intended scope of the wiki.

Yes like the forum the wiki is open to all EV related topics. Just create new pages and link them onto the main page. If it gets to busy on the main page I (or anyone who wants) will "refactor" it into sub pages

Re: General documentation, parameters, error messages
With CANIO, is it possible to put the inverter in stopped state?

Re: General documentation, parameters, error messages

Re: General documentation, parameters, error messages
I use canio to put it in neutral while charging, was looking for a way to get the inverter to open the contactors when it's done.

Re: General documentation, parameters, error messages
Just a quick hack: temporarily set udclim to 0 via CAN SDO https://openinverter.org/wiki/CAN_communication
I could add emcystop to the canio bits. Maybe inverted, so physical input must be high and canio input must be low.

Re: General documentation, parameters, error messages
Thanks. I'll have to look at SDO, I want to set regen to 0 when batteries are under 0 automatically. I've just disabled it for winter instead, but also have vcu disable regen below 5 or 10 mph too.
