This is for the Opel/Vauxhall/Chevy Volt. It is designed to take the smaller of the three modules.
Might be useful for an alternative pack too.

They were made on hydraulic press. I have those made into my box too. They are suppose to strengthen the wall a bit so it doesnt wobble. No Omega profile welding required.

The house HVAC guys do it as a regular course, but it's a much thinner gauge that they work with. Which is why I asked.

Hi
What ist the thickness of the stainless steel and would you, if you built a new box go with thicker or thinner sheets?
I am trying to fit all 200kg of my I3 Battery in a single box and was wondering what sheet thickness to get.
My design sadly has no space for X-creases but I have two 20mm thick horizontal aluminium plates in the box for stability (and battery module mounting/cooling).
Would love to hear some opinions or experiences about sheet thickness and stainless/non-stainless steel.
And a safety question: I have read a few times about isolating the battery boxes. Is hat an actual thing that should/has to be done? The I3 had the aluminium modules directly bolted to the aluminium battery box, which is (as far as I know) directly bolted to the metal frame, so no isolation here.
My common sense says that 360V potentially shorted to the chassis is no good idea but I also see that in a crash that reaches the battery there probably also is a short to chassis created anyways.
I know the classifieds section is probably not the right place to post this and hope to not bring anyones wrath over me by doing so.
