Re: Wanted ISA Ivt-s shunt UK
I'm in the market for an ISA shunt - does anyone have one available or can suggest the best place to find one?

Re: Wanted ISA Ivt-s shunt UK
I have one shunt only from Jaguar. It is a 500A version without voltage sensing. I am offering it for 80€ + shipping?
I guess it would need to be reprogrammed too. See here:

Re: Wanted ISA Ivt-s shunt UK
I contacted the UK distributor for these.
They came back with £288.10ea plus vat for 10.
In stock at manufacturers.
So probably the same as getting from existing EU suppliers.

if the £ pound hadn't tanked against the $ these would be reasonably similar in price including shipping, etc.
Seems getting one at the moment is around £300.

Re: Wanted ISA Ivt-s shunt UK
Today, I took delivery of a power pack from a BMW 530e which apparently includes a shunt..... could the ZombieVerter be enhanced to support this shunt in addition to the ISA, assumng they are both controlled CAN messages?

Re: Wanted ISA Ivt-s shunt UK
EDIT:
I've just realised there is the mapping function on the ZombieVerter
https://openinverter.org/wiki/File:Spot_values.png
Has anyone used this to be able to use the BWM shunt in place of the ISA shunt?
If so, how?

Re: Wanted ISA Ivt-s shunt UK
There is also LEM CAB500 current sensor on can bus. They can be found in Outlander packs...

Re: Wanted ISA Ivt-s shunt UK
The beauty / advantage of the IVT is that some models (including the one used with the Zombiverter) that can measure both voltage and current. I have the 1000A in stock.
For current only you can use cheaper sensors like this current only IVT or the CAB by LEM or others perhaps.
But then the question is: how to measure voltage and get it send on the CAN bus?
Plus of course the firmware change needed in the Zombiverter.

IDK, a IVT-S-500-U3-I-CAN1-12/24 is still USD$265, which isn't really a whole lot less than £300 in my view.4markowen wrote: ↑Fri Sep 30, 2022 9:07 am https://www.testco-inc.com/search/manuf ... /mId:20907

I'm also looking for a shunt for SOC calculation. I have a V1c board not zombie so will do SOC on arduino based on data I harvest.

As i understand it SOC is based upon measure Amp-seconds. I can get voltage from the Outlander charger can bus and I think this is pretty accurate as you might expect it to be so would this currnt only shunt suffice - it's a lot cheaper.

Re: Wanted ISA Ivt-s shunt UK
Last week, I just received one from member pablo_mtl, USD$155 including shipping (Canada->USA).
viewtopic.php?t=1338
The one I received has a non-terminated CAN, which is more flexible for implementation (just add 120R to the back of your CAN connector, if you need termination at the shunt).

Re: Wanted ISA Ivt-s shunt UK
Hey guys, anyone here who has already tested and used their new sensor IVT 3.0?
https://www.isabellenhuetteusa.com/prod ... -0-series/
Does anyone offers the same? Can’t find it on digikey or mouser.
Appreciate your help!

They are at B2 Sample stage.Galileo241 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 17, 2023 6:18 pm Hey guys, anyone here who has already tested and used their new sensor IVT 3.0?

Not end user configurable yet like the normal IVT and already much more expensive.
I’m awaiting of the final product release and they will inform me once I can order those.

This fellow has three of the 300A version, @ £99 ea. and is located in the UK:
https://www.diyelectriccar.com/threads/ivt-s-can-current-sensor-shunt.209220/
I would think the 300A capacity would work OK for situations where one is adding DCFC and using the BMW i3 LIM setup or similar.
