Phev rear motor temp sensors

Post by FFMan »

Has anyone hooked up the two phev rear motor temp sensors to a V1C board and got sensible values ?

The motor has 2 temp outputs and 2 associated grounds. As there is no 5v or 12v to the motor, i am thinking these are thermistor types.

Is there a profile in 5.24r suitable for connecting these to as i'm not sure what type they are.

i added one for the front motor, I'd try that first, maybe they're the same.

I also documented a fix to a bug on the board.

thanks Jamie - i did see that but wasn't sure if it was applicable, but no harm in trying.

So to be clear for each temp output pair from the motor, i ground the ground side, and connect the temp output to one of the temp inputs on the Ampseal, and take a 1k resistor from that junction to ground also ?

What profile do you select in the inverter interface for this setup ?

No, you pick one to use, not both, connect one side to motor temp T1 and other to T2, then use a 1k resistor to from gnd to T2. I think it's labelled as Outlander Front in the web interface.

T1 is just a 5v supply, T2 is the input.

Has anyone been able to confirm the specific NTC thermistor curve (or the A, B, and C parameters for the Steinhart-Hart equation) for the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV rear motor sensor? If not, what $\text{k}\Omega$ value is the 'Outlander Front' profile in 5.24r based on (e.g., $10\text{k}\Omega$ or $2.2\text{k}\Omega$ at 25°C)?
