Ah, okay. It seems like it's happening above 7000 rpm, possibly a little lower too. Went down to 5 on syncadv and I don't think it changed. When it was at 10 it would start to run away even if I hadn't just been at WOT.
For firmware, I'm using the commit you pushed last week to fix the CAN map saving. Haven't tried the latest one with the modified Clarke transformation yet, but it sounds like I might be having a different issue anyway.

Went out for a test drive myself now. Started with syncadv=10. Already in neutral it is much more controlled, I can spin up nicely to 7500 rpm without sudden takeoff like before.
But then on driving things looked differently. No self acceleration but 2 short bursts of unwanted regen when transitioning from full throttle to full regen. When taking it more gently it doesn't happen. Was a bit reluctant to try again in order to save motor mounts and drive shafts.
I lowered syncadv to 9. Still very controlled in neutral, untested under load

Okay, that's good news! My next chance to drive the car is tonight actually. Will report back later.

Okay, good results! I didn't have a lot of time to charge so I was only around 75% SOC but there were no signs of unwanted acceleration or regen. I think I got it up to 9000 rpm once. I tried increasing the syncadv to 7 and still had no issues. Didn't get a chance to go higher, though.
As for smoothness, maybe I was just imagining it because you guys put the idea in my head, but it did feel a little more smooth at lower speeds, especially transitioning from throttle to regen and back. I wouldn't have said it was NOT smooth before, but I think this helped.
Should I try bring syncadv up further now?

If you have no unwanted regen or acceleration don't change it! So 6 or 7 seems good?

Yeah, seems like 7 was fine during my test. So there's no point in trying to 'tune' that number?

I find johu's test branch and its results very interesting.
If I'm reading this right, it basically fixes transitions between forwards and backwards torque in the FW region, when previously it would lose track of FW and basically go out of control?
And all it needs to succeed in that is limiting the torque ramp rate to not be too abrupt?

I'm sure that helps too, but most of all it is about using the correct rotor position in the transformations. Wrong rotor position means crap in, crap out

I give my report: with the corrected firmware, when I abruptly released the pedal, I received a powerful braking force that led to an overcurrent. by increasing the vlimmargin parameter to 4900 and lowering the syncadv to 3, this problem has gone away. However, it should be noted that I drove fwcurmax = 0.

That rear inverter looks smalish. Did you cut away rest of the case and kept the IGBT part? In that case how did you manage to secure liquid cooling?

This can be used on the DcSw positive contactor output. So only when you have other means to control the latter

it could be a great feature if it used a less sought-after output (for example, instead of "out vtg" or "out err")
I tested charging with a boost current of 100 amps, it works great!!!
There is still not enough support as a temperature sensor for the igbt transistors of the cheaper kty84-130
