Tesla LDU Gear Dimensions
I'm wondering if anyone has or knows a source for dimensions/engineering drawings of the LDU gears. I do have a few LDUs I could measure, but if someone has already published the information, that would be great. I'm thinking about creating a gear set with a different ratio for a couple of projects, which don't need quite the reduction in ratio that the Fellten set has.

Re: Tesla LDU Gear Dimensions
Do you want shorter gear ratios for drag racing, or higher top speeds for cars with small wheels?

Re: Tesla LDU Gear Dimensions
I'm hoping to bring the total ratio down to around 6.2 or 6.3:1, in order to raise the theoretical top speed to around 225mph.
I'm thinking both about a Sport LDU based land speed car and a drag car with two Sport LDUs. So in the drag car yes I'd lose some off the line compared to the stock ratio but for 1/4 mile I'd probably need the head room to run as quick as I'd like to go. The land speed car is almost certainly going to be LDU based. The next drag car might be LDU based or it might be Plaid based. I'm mostly kicking around ideas right now and trying to get my ducks in a row before I start buying stuff.
