Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone has looked into the High Voltage DC/DC converter on an ID3? found one on ebay but was look online and 400euros from oemvwshop

You might want to pull a canbus log before you do that, try to turn it on before you do that;

Even a log where in it doesn't work is useful.

Looking into these a bit more recently. I believe they are bi directional so are able to precharge the HV bus, which is why there is no precharge resistor in the ID battery packs.
Looks like the same component used in both ID3 and ID4 which makes sense.

Starting to get very cheap now so I might pick one up to play around with. I found this photo which might help others/future me with pinouts. Only looks like 4 cables are required. So could be 12v perm, 12v ign, gnd and lin. Or 12v, gnd and can bus.
