in this video The Greg removes more stuff off of his electrically converted Chevrolet (pronounced: "GMC") pick up truck in order to be able to access the Lexus GS450h transmotor input shaft
well hopefully this is all that had to be removed...

Picking up the hand crank drill off of the drill press platter got me.
Seeing you trace out a pattern in the middle of the sheet had my hoarder's anxiety blaring a klaxon.

Ha ha, I appreciate that, as I went to 7 different Thrift stores looking for a "vintage" hand drill, only to find out my buddy Pontiac Mike had one but he lived all the way across town, so a joyful cross town trip later during rush hour, that beauty was mine.

so first attempt at locking out the input shaft was a small failure
below you can see the circumference of the circle I etched
below I raised the Ninja star about 1/2 an inch off the plate to make it sit further inside the bell housing and on the input shaft, this was still just for testing purposes

Will there be much torque on the plate or is the concern more about stressing the bearings if it's not perfectly aligned?

after one too many sleepless nights The Greg made some significant progress on Rev. 2.0 of our input shaft mechanism, using this handy LDR 311 F-112 Galvanized Floor Flange, 1-1/2-Inch, complements of our friends in Vietnam, or as I like to call it the Lexus GS450h transmission plate too big of a hole reducer thingie
here it is as found in our local Ace Hardware store plumbing section

turns out a simple rubber band set was the secret weapon for perfect alignment
naturally the second one snapped off the shaft into oblivion during the photo shoot, so just picture two of them on here
