Gen 3 DC motor control question
Hello, everyone I have a complete Gen3 Prius inverter board kit running stm.sine software . Could someone help me decide if it is safe to power a DC motor from one phase of MG2 and the inverter case as Ground. Also is it possible to safely control the motor in closed loop without a custom board? thanks

Re: Gen 3 DC motor control question [SOLVED]
If you want to power a DC motor it gets connected to one phase (or three phases) and the battery ground. Inverter case is isolated from the battery for safety.
For a DC motor you'll need different software, all you need is a PWM output and maybe current sensing.
