Prius gen2 hardware worth grabbing?

There is a Prius Generation 2 at my local Pick-a-Part.
The inverter is available for $50NZ ($33US) and a battery pack (of unknown condition) for $100NZ ($66US)
I don't need them, and wouldn't have a use for them for awhile into the future.
And I would have to go on my lunch break with tools and stuff to get the inverter.
The battery pack is already out of the car.

Worth grabbing for some future unknown purpose?? I'm looking for a GS450h donor as source for the components I actually plan on using.

might be useful for solar projects for changing dc voltage from one voltage to another, or dc to ac.

might be able to use solar, a hybrid battery, this inverter and create a stationary system to at least get your house lights off grid.

Thanks. This car is long gone now but Prius are super common so I'll keep this in mind for the future.

Is the electric power steering mounted directly on the steering column? or is it integrated at the rack?
I have an electric hydraulic power steering pump from a Vauxhall/Opel Astra which is popular option for powering standard steering racks without resorting to a) swapping the steering rack b) retrofitting a new steering column.

I was going to go without proper AC at least in the initial stages. It would be good to add later though and definitely will consider making allowances for it at the planning stage.

It’s in the steering column. In the Prius the motor is right behind the steering wheel. You can take out the entirety of the interior portion of the steering column and get multiple slip joints, u joints, and the power assist. The control module is in the dash too. Forgot to mention, the Prius also has a 12v cooling pump that I think just has power and ground inputs.

The prius also has a 12v gear selector.. I've got one but haven't tested it yet. I've found a few wiring diagrams online so far but the thing has 12 wires coming out of it (2 sets of 6). I'm guessing one is a failsafe to check the other, much like the prius accel pedal. Not sure yet.. but it's the only electric gear selector I could readily locate at the junkyard.

I am waiting for gen2 Prius compressor and then i will try to get it to run. I will recount how it goes here..
I use throttle pedal and i am happy with it.
More hardware....i speculate
Some coolant pumps?
Inverter of course.
Transmission for a small car.
Battery for testing purposes
Coolant radiator, they are usually smaller
3 way valves for switching heater etc...
Cooling fans.
Contactors...

Well i just confirm you definitely must grab gen2 AC compressor since it doesnt have internal inverter. One can use virtually any other inverter to drive it...
