I recently came across some LG Chem E48 pouch cells. The company selling them is an EV car company that is getting rid of some excess stock. These particular cells are new old stock. Look to be around 2 years old.
There doesn't seem to be much info about them online but the company did give me the data sheets. The stats on them look pretty good. 300A max discharge, 200A max charge. 1C normal charge rate, but they are 48AH 3.66v cells.
I bought 26 for my quad project. There are 74 left.
They are currently asking £200 for 10 cells. Sold as seen. But for that price they seem very cheap per KwH.
They also had a range of other EV equipment there, wiring, Chademo connector, DC-DC converters etc.
Edit: They also had Ipad cells I think, literal pallets of Ipad cells...
Edit 2: 51,000 Ipad cells
Edit 3: 50,000 EIG C20 cells, there is a dedicated post on those cells now.

Can you get LG battery pack modules to fit these E48 pouches into or would it be a DIY solution?

They have some circuitry there which were designed for 10S packs I think. I'm probably going to DIY mine together since I need a different setup so I didn't look too much into that.
