possibly Leaf powered.

Post by Harty »

I have been looking at the various stages of Johu's VW Touran and it looks like i could could fit the Nissan Leaf motor and gearbox in my motor home.
it is coach built and its a Fiat Ducato in name only Its the Peugeot boxer cab and chassis its built on.
with it being a 2001 registration, it hasn't got an ecu hasn't got ABS there is very little that shows up on the dash, handbrake and heater plugs.
I am wondering if i could fit a Nissan Leaf full motor with controller and gearbox in it.
I wouldn't want to use the percent gearbox as it is a bit crunchy at times.
There is loads of room between the chassis legs for batteries.
Any comment much appreciated. Gary

That looks like a very good conversion rear wheel drive, my fiat ducato is front wheel drive. I need to see where the driveshafts come out of the Nissan gearbox.but i expect i will have room to maneuver.
thanks Gary
