this is my first real work on "big" ev .
this car was my daily driver, originaly have nicad batteries pack ( 132v/ 100Ah) it was built in 2002.i bought itonly to go to work, and to make it run on lithium.
still on the road with nicad technologie untill last october.
the probleme is that the bus capacitor burn! may be because of the age of the chimic condensator? we don't realy know.
my first job on it (before the fire) was to make a lithium batterie pack (because i didn't expect that the controller will die)
the choice was a pack from an i-miev as i didn't need a big range.
I split the pack in two, half voltage and twice Ah.
the motor on this car is a syncronous one with a dc brushed rotor.
now i have a nice lithium pack so i'm trying to adapt the inverter on it
i have to de the rotor power supply , may be on an arduino nano, with a can controller to receive pedale and rpm info.
Kangoo EV first generation
Re: Kangoo EV first generation
hi , i just buy this
https://www.ebay.fr/itm/45A-200V-72v-14 ... 1438.l2649
to do the power régulation on the rotor.

Re: Kangoo EV first generation
just a little progress on the inverter:
i just receve the pwm dc controller to feed the rotor.
i planed to use an original bus cap from the controler, but tu use the charger function i need to change all the condensator.
they are rated to 250v only.
19 x 270µf = 5130µf 250v ( made arround 2002)
i found same size in 220µf 450v
19x 220µf = 4180µf 450v
i think i will add the snuber too, even if the original controler don't have them.
