DoneDeal LG-Chem 3.2kWh mobules SOLD

Post by RJackson »

Hi, just as an FYI I thought the members of this form may be interested in a number of LG Chem batteries for sale. I'm working for company that are looking to sell some 3.2KWH LG modules (28 total or 89kWh). These batteries are 1C so they may not be suitable for a car installation, but I thought they might be of interest for an alternative project such as a marine or home insulation. The batteries appear to be holding good voltage and haven't been used with some still in their original boxes. The downside is the batteries were originally designed to run in series to achieve 800v controlled via BMS and BPU which was never supplied with the original shipment two years ago and this is the reason the batteries were never used. If it's of any interest batteries are in located in Kilkenny with details in the link below.

I was puzzling my mind about how these could be a good deal and looked up the original data sheets for the cells and found out that for a certain application: off-grid energy storage it could be a pretty good deal.

The data sheet claims that these cells have 6000 cycles at 90% DoD so although they are low power they can be a good deal for the right person especially as 48V is quite a common setup for off-grid.

Yup, if I didn't already have 20kWh in this role already I'd be all over these.
The cell taps will need bridging once they're put into parallel, but after that there are plenty of BMS options.

Is that a SANDI off grid inverter beside them?
