I have been looking into device discharge, to deal with units that hold a charge after they are disconnected from H. V. by the contactor.
Do the Tesla motors hold a charge?
If so, how to discharge it?
I am used to the other side of the equation, where it is common practice to have a 100k resistor across the power source output, to discharge capacitors in a power supply with no load.
Is discharge required?

Re: Is discharge required?
Tesla LDU even has active discharge as in without 12 V supply it discharges. With 12 V supply the discharge circuit can be disabled.
