safety to drive via canbus
I'm wondering if there are any safety concerns if I connect the Throttle pedal to the VCU and drive the LDU via CAN bus, or are there any safety mechanisms that ensure safety

Yes there are safety mechanisms that ensure safety
https://openinverter.org/wiki/CAN_commu ... _CAN_-_new!
a) CAN is very safe by design, awesome collision prevention and also built-in CRC
b) inverter times out if no messages are received
c) message has two counters that need to keep revolving in order to not time out
d) message has an additional 8-bit CRC
