Onboard charger from a Volvo XC90 from 2017
Volvo part 31491894
By the looks of it I think it is a Valeo Gen2.5 with different connectors

Re: Volvo XC90 onboard charger
Interesting! Was that kind of charger actually used to charge in a conversion? Is CAN protocol known?larsrengersen wrote: ↑Sun Apr 13, 2025 2:32 pm Onboard charger from a Volvo XC90 from 2017

Re: Volvo XC90 onboard charger
Not that I know of. I just bought it but never looked into it.
I was hoping the documentation including can info listed there on the Evolveelectrics site above would give me enough info to get it to work.
But probably you need a Volvo XC90 CAN log as well.

Re: Volvo XC90 onboard charger
This is completely different from the Valeo-Siemens version in the PDF. The connectors are different (round metal instead of square orange), there are two PFC circuits inside instead of one, and it was manufactured in Hungary instead of China. In addition, there are several internal hardware/firmware versions. There is currently no programming description publicly available for this version, based on the LOGs I have not yet managed to get it working. I only got a little further with the UDS queries. If you are still interested after all this, I will not buy it before you.

I will have to pass this time thanks. Let me know if you have success so we can put that charger in our list and on wiki.
