Tesla LDU Borad Versions

Post by Maverick441 »

Hello I am new to the board and I am starting my EV conversion with a Tesla Model S motor, will be installing in a C3 Corvette. Lots to learn. I missed the last call for to order of the board but I may have found some used boards on the web. I know the latest version (V?) has the build in Wifi, beside this difference, is there a list of board build version difference (function / performance) I can use as reference? I search the site here (also look in the wiki) but didn't find any info. Need to decide if I should buy used or wait for the new batch from the Openinverter shop.

Many thanks!

Interesting to know there is a secondhand market:)

To keep it simple you want either a V4A or a V4B. The V4B was the last revision that I had made at JLCPCB. I'd avoid anything earlier than that. Due to it being an opensource project people could have made a few themselves etc.

Do note they will soon be available again from the openinverter shop here :https://openinverter.org/shop/
I'm going to need a hacksaw

Thanks for the explanation. I guess people may change their mind or want the wifi version, and old boards comes into market as they upgrade, maybe?

There’s plenty of people that start buying parts and realize they’re in over their head and sell everything off.
