Testing a S front motor inverter ?

Post by Lee Malo »

I have a 2013 front unit from a 2015 S that was under water for a few days :P I have dissembled the unit to find very little water in the gear case but I did find some water in the inverter case . The car was never powered up and when I inspected the logic board I did not find any corrosion. I did try to inspect underneath the high power side with very little luck. Have you Found a way to remove the IGBT board for inspection without damaging it ? With that said , Is there a way to test the inverter assembly before I hook up the high power and let the magic smoke out  :?:
Poor quality lingers long after the cheap price is forgotten.

It would be possible to test the inverter at low voltage using an open source logic board but not with the tesla board.
I'm going to need a hacksaw
