It shows total battery voltage, current + when driving, - when charging, power in KW

Aux 12V voltage, temperature of controller, % of galvanic isolation betven chasis and battery minus,
and SOC - it can be with % or Ah, I like more in Ah

Car got new odometer kilometer . I finished fuel gauge function. Arduino is reading voltage every ( with voltage devider) 1 second and calculate average of 10 last readings to reduce significant current voltage drops and it is working

I have an e39 and gs450h gearbox purchased and hope to start work on this conversion around October 2021. One question regarding the diff swap, did you need to replace the half shafts for the 528i diff or did the original ones fit.

Can't tell you the answer directly, however there is this chap whom has a thing for big BMW's and putting electric motors in them... whom documented his diff swap .... It was in videos 24-27 I believe if it's any help

I have an e39 and gs450h gearbox purchased and hope to start work on this conversion around October 2021. One question regarding the diff swap, did you need to replace the half shafts for the 528i diff or did the original ones fit.

You don't need to replace half shafts, but you need to put flange from 520 diff to 528 diff
It fits. Othewise 528 has thicker bolts and thicker halfshafts

That was one of the more impressive meetings in this part of EU. All those $$$ Tesla cars were totaly outclassed by two beautiful conversions .
Thank you for showing us your EV.

PS: I saw there was also one pre 2013 conversion Fiat Punto which was also impressive for the time.

Tnx for inviting me. Yesterday I made 400 km. That was the biggest millage That I made in one day. When I went home I was "fully" charged (4.07 v/cell ) and had one hour charge during driving home (8.5 kw approx for 40 km ), and today I made another 50 km to empty battery to 3.4 V/cell. That means 250 km total with single charge and one hour charging in the middle of trip. Voltage was from 4.07 - 3.4V .
I wasn't driving at the highway speed because I was affraid of battery overheating. I stil didn't connect cooling. They were at 44C when I arrived home. Car was all day charging on the sun (2 h in the mornong with 8.5 kw and rest of the day only with brusa) and it was really hot day.
That means 210 km from 4.07-3.40V. Im guessing If I charge it to 4.20V and discharge to 3.30, i could make 230-240 km per single charge. That is more then I was expecting.
The car proved to be very reliable and durable. I'm wery happy about it. I can't Wait to put another 7 KW (group chargers), that means arround 15 kw charging power. But then I need to connect some cooling .

Only disadvantage is gearbox and shifting... I realy realy like Arber's Leaf powertran and 400 Volts. It is awesome how Pegueot smooth drives. No shifting. And regenerative braking is also great. I experienced how AC powertrain is more advanced and efficient. It is huge diference .

You do know that these projects never really finish (don't tell better halves).. as with most I expect on the forum many of us are planning upgrades for a few years when we have barely started

How prophetic. When i started on my mazda i went through the design and "locked" it to 120Vdc for sure... well after couple of years i got to use Openinverter and upped the voltage to 320Vdc. After some time i went to 100S! But for the clutch and gearbox!!!
With Pug i have locked the drivetrain and battery i hope. Now i will work more on chademo and chargers.

Also you need to take "beter halfh" for a drive somewhere to warant the time .

Better halves usualy don't like EV conversions.. No one that I knew who made EV conversions, better halves didn't like it .. Also experienced on my skin, my ex didn't like much my previous conversion. This one is "little" higher level, but Im single now so I will need to find out .. But this one has aircondition that works

Iterative better half convincing algorithm:
a) make sure the car doesn't behave stupid (even things unrelated to the conversion). Drive alone. Then proceed to b)
b) Use your EV when going on trips together. First shopping, then local recreation, then longer holiday trips
c) If your better half tells you the car is stupid, go back to a)
d) Done

2 years ago (2019.g) 2nd half and me went on vacation from Varazdin to Pula (in Croatia) that was 380 km in one way. We've been traveling 17 hours there, and 16 hours back with my first conversion, Opel Kadett. I had 22 kw BMW i3 full pack with 4.5 kw chargers. But half of way were hills (physics has no mercy). In Delnice we've been sleeping little in tent during charging. It was nice adventure. She was not complaining much. We had enough time. That was the real test for us (her ) . Also car was realy reliable, no problems at all .

I remember them was my first car I drove back in 1999!
I rember the one u had was a constant battle with rust!
That looks like a really good base for a conversation as they were so light, I'm assuming that was a DC motor conversation? (Apologies I know this is your e39 thread, also a nice car )
