Have you tried to send all IDs filled with data and with different lengths with the right checksum?7yatna wrote: ↑Tue Jul 04, 2023 8:56 am i did the same thing but it looks like the control message format for my compressor is a little bit diffrent so no change in the feedback message.
i will take another try at it or i will go tesla can controlled compressor.
thank you for your help on the heater it worked as you mentioned.

Re: VW A/C Compressor
What is the power output of the DBK heaters by the way? Does not say on the label.

Re: VW A/C Compressor
Sorry a little of topic, but are you aware of any limitations on how this heater can be mounted? I'm looking to mount it horizontally flat.muehlpower wrote: ↑Sun Apr 18, 2021 8:06 pm I found the LIN messages for the water heater. The feedback comes on ID48. Byte 0 is power. 13 for 770W, 26 for 1540W. ID28 is sent for control. Byte 0 is power, last bit of byte 1 starts and stops.
connectors are:
HVA 280 KEY_E from TE +HV near to the body, -HV far from the body
1J0973714 1= +12V , 2= GND, 4= LIN
I so far only found good illustration of these used in audi e-tron and they're mounted like this.... As an example. Tesla battery heater has mounting orientation limitation as well described by Lars here: https://www.evcreate.com/using-tesla-th ... y%20heater
Re: VW A/C Compressor
I am wondering the same. Which one is coolant input ? WHich one is coolant output? Which orientiation does it have in the car?

Re: VW A/C Compressor
Hello,
I've been trying to establish LIN communication with 12E820803E for several days now, without success.
I see that many people have succeeded.
I showed how I do it in the photos, but I must have missed something. Does anyone know why I'm not getting a response from the compressor?
thank you in advance for your help.

Re: VW A/C Compressor
If I see it correctly you have GND connected to pin 6 and not pin 5 as per the wiki.

Code: Select all
8= +12V , 5= GND, 2= LIN[DRIVING] Citroen Saxo electrique

- PSA battery (50kWh)
- Foccci and MG ZS charger 6.6kW

Re: VW A/C Compressor
Thank you manny.
Now i have reply from compressor, but from id 0x21.
response follows request for response.
I can't construct a frame to make the compressor respond manually, maybe it needs to be woken up earlier.
I see that my compressor is not a typical model.
Has anyone had experience with this version?

Re: VW A/C Compressor
Good morning,
The compressor is already running (I had to enable MONITOR mode in the program).
However, I'm not getting a response from the compressor.
The compressor stops after about 3 seconds. (I have the input port plugged and the output port open, but the compressor doesn't seem to know this).
What could be wrong?
