Throttle Pedal Question
I recently acquired a 2012 Leaf throttle pedal/pigtail, and tried hooking it up on the test bench. I wired it correctly based on research of past posts. When I put the unit in drive, I get immediate full throttle. I started with defaults and then tried adjusting some settings (potmin/ampmin/slipstart) but nothing really changed. This seems like a pretty common unit that people use. Could someone share with me the settings that have worked with this pedal? Is there some type of calibration procedure I need to do? Things have been working fine while testing with a standard pot so far. Thanks! Chip

Re: Throttle Pedal Question
Every throttle pedal has to be calibrated and calibration procedure is described in detail in one of the Zombieverter videos on the openinverter wiki. I know it is kind of time consuming watching these videos but I don't see how one can move forward on this without doing that.phillipschip wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2024 6:28 am Is there some type of calibration procedure I need to do?

Re: Throttle Pedal Question
Yes. You watch any of the videos? You clearly are just winging it, I hoped the fire you had would make you a bit more careful but seems not to have slowed you. Please follow the provided information and steps.phillipschip wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2024 6:28 am Is there some type of calibration procedure I need to do?
Map Pot1 and Pot2, the setup min and max accordingly.

Re: Throttle Pedal Question
Thanks very much for the guidance. I’ll check it out! All most all of this is totally new to me so I appreciate your help very much

Thanks for the concern Tom and I appreciate the advice. Rest assured, I’m going very slow and being very careful. All testing at LV, and everything except the motor is out of the car.

Re: Throttle Pedal Question
Wait why is this topic in the subforum for Nissan?
Are you using a Nissan leaf throttle pedal?

Re: Throttle Pedal Question
Yes, I am.
I just got the throttle calibrated and it's working great. (30 min into video 3) Thanks for the help on this
(For some reason, when hitting "save parameters to flash" they don't always save)

Re: Throttle Pedal Question
I am working with a Nissan throttle pedal, but am using a Tesla SDU and OI board. Could someone please let me know where to connect the pot 2 wires? I've been going through those videos and It looks like there are connections on the Zombieverter , but II don't have any wires to connect to on my wiring harness for the SDU. Thanks!

Re: Throttle Pedal Question
You connect it to either one of these (Zombie or SDU), not both.

Re: Throttle Pedal Question
Thanks. My pedal has two sensors, a total of 6 wires. Currently I have 3 hooked up and I’m testing in “single regen”. It seems common to hook up all six and use it “dual channel” for redundancy/safety, any ideas where to connect those other 3? I only have a SDU with OI board installed-no zombieverter. Thanks!

The other triplet goes to what is sometimes labelled "brake sensor input"

Here is a screenshot of my harness. I don't seem to have a pot 2 connection available.

Re: Throttle Pedal Question
Ok thanks. So I wouldn't use the "brake transolver ground"? Just hook to chassis ground?

Re: Throttle Pedal Question
That would be the issue

Is there any way to put the inverter in "stop" mode other than turning off the ignition?

Re: Throttle Pedal Question
Just out of curiosity, Is the “stop inverter” button a safe way to shut down the inverter even when the motor is spinning?
