Gs450h oil pump disassembly issues

Post by 0tik »

Mine has literal phillips screws made out of aluminium clay. Obviously impossible to unscrew to change the bearings. Sorry, but i forgot to take a photo of it. I thought there was supposed to be torx screws. Is anyone else on the same boat as me and have figured out how to unscrew them? Metal is so soft that I am 100% sure that filling the head for flat-head screwdriver is going to end up with the head being fully ripped off.

Try Kroil soaking it for a day or 2. Transmission fluid with acetone is similar.
A few hits on the head may help shock it.
There are impact drivers that rotate the screw from a hammer hit, helps bite in while turning.
The body aluminum? you could try to freeze it first, aluminum will shrink more than the steel bolt letting off some tension.
