you have the proximity from the charge port to an analog input on the zombie and the prams set accordingly?

And the control pilot from the charge port to pin 9(blue?) on the harness to the outlander obc?

have you tired to charger befor going into run mode?

The Zombie will go into Charge mode without the Control Pilot signal connected and even without the J1772 hair dryer plug plugged into the charge port, so just be aware of this.

One way to tell if the CAN communication is working is to look for some charger Spot Values such as charger temp and U12V (U=Volts) and I12V (I=amps) which tell you the DC-DC converter part of the charger is charging the regular 12v car battery.

That's Level 2 charging which just means at 240 volts

It don't have to be the Science of Rockets, here I am just using a regular clothes dryer outlet that i added an extension to, and we converted our clothes dryer from electric to gas, so this is always available

Hm...i guess we are at war with out goverment...let them try that with veritable barbecue stoves... you guys would really go up in arms then!

I remember couple of years back they did something similar to water sources and home gardens in Slovenia. People just went to the street and in couple of hours they pulled legislation back.

Hm... i seem to remember in my Pug i did a stupid mistake in calculating driveshaft lengths and LH driveshaft was too long. When driving the tripod bearings would rub against casing. I had to cut down and reweld LH driveshaft .

You can test this by lifting one side BY THE FRONT ARM KNUCKLE so wheel is still loaded by car weight even when the wheel is up and free. Then you try if it revolves freely or if something snaggs up...

Edit: Or did you check if one of the parking brakes siezed up'?

thank you so much, all great advice, allow me to take it from the easiest to test first, so first up is the parking brake / emergency brake, or as sum call it the hand brake

FYI, the castle nut is on hand tight as per installation instructions and I did that when I freshened up the rear brakes a few months ago.

Doesn't seem too bad, keep a temp check on it.
Use finger carefully, if that is your only instrument.!!

Excellent work, the stutter noise as just before pulling up, sounds a bit like drivetrain/ backlash/ inertia possibly.
Some massaging of or turn off the regen might influence it..

sorry I did not answer this earlier, it appears that we must select the Spot Values we want to appear on the gauge page using the little check boxes, and I don't think it matters if we check the l or r column, it's actually pretty cool since it is dynamic and fully customizable

Example: here I select the l check box for the Version, and the r check box for the battery voltage aka udc2


and this is the result, note the URL see how now it passed these parameters to the next page?

here I am just using my iPhone to show some basic virtual gauges: Volts, Amps, and RPM

I use the battery pack voltage as a fuel gauge for example 327 volts is 90% charged but that's as high as I am willing to go without BMS and I think I can run it down to like 265 maybe

the Amps show me how much current I am drawing

and the Speed gauge shows me the electric motor RPM

Considering the weather there I don't really think it's fair to call that a burnout, as it's just what happens when a half-molten tire sitting in the sun for the afternoon makes contact with asphalt in normal operation.

Congrats on leaving the property and endangering public safety by letting it on the road. It's a real vehicle now!

On the flip side... after 10 years of being garage-less, I bought a house. The (literal) cheapest house in the city that is functionally cheap (not, $50k cheaper but needing $70k of work. Actually cheap, and not needing immediate work). Eventually I'll get my car moving. Sitting in limbo not wanting to work on it while it's capable of rolling right now. Coincidentally, it also has a gas dryer, I've never seen one before. But natural gas heat is ~1/3 the price of electrical heat, so, it makes sense I suppose.
