Wanted Lexus rx400h inverter
Wanted Lexus rx400h inverter
Bit of a long shot this one but if anyone has one for reasonable money I want to do some comparisons with the ipm in these and the gen2 Prius… they appear to be a beefed up version of the Prius but I’d like to find out but how much…

Did you get anywhere with this? I'm wondering about using the rx400h in my conversion and would be interested in the inverter performance.
Re: Wanted Lexus rx400h inverter
I never managed to get my hands on one to find out, from what I can tell though they should be a beefed up Prius gen 2 design, look to have more igbts per inverter that the Prius, I would guess similar to gen3 prius inverter performance but using the same intelligent power module design as the gen2 prius, even the connector and pin out are the same

Im in the UK, Here are some pics of it, I was going to use it to drive a Remy HVH because of its high voltage capability, but ended up going a different route.

Still interested in a (partly dismantled) rx400h inverter? If so, drop me a message with your location and email address for pictures etc.

Re: Wanted Lexus rx400h inverter
please forgive me for being late to the party as per always, but one of these sexy beasts just popped up in the junkyard 5 miles away from my domicile so I have a date with it in the yard tomorrow morning, word on the street is someone on here did a conversion using this inverter/transaxle combo and claimed it was underwhelmed, I tried to find that posts but found this instead, so if you know of it I would appreciate a linky link, you know for completeness, there is a reason why this transaxle appeals to me instead of the Camry or Altima ones, I will report on it once I confirm my suspicions tomorrow, it has to do with the uniform symetrical CV axles
