Relay questions

I have a relay that I have been trying to confirm I am.woring correctly. It is being used for the precharge and I have a second one used for the DV to DC converter in my Contactor box.

The way I have it currently connected seems to be incorrect. When I hook up the high voltage I can hear and feel ...

Re: Simp BMS

When I plug In the EVSE it indicates ready on the EVSE. Nothing happens, no fan, no charge. I have 12volts at the simp charge, good ground. All connections are secure. I have the proper resister in place as well. I was wondering if any of my parameters need to be adjusted in the photos above

Re: Simp BMS

ImageHi I am having an issue getting my car to charge. I'm using the simp bms v2 and a simp charge. I have an elkon 6.6 charger. I have the charger wired behind contactors.
Please see the current settings on the dashboard. Let me know if you see anything I'm missing.

Re: Inverter overheating?

Update: I added a larger coolant loop, radiator, and fan. Took the car for a short drive on a cold day. The motor and inverter remained at a normal temperature. The car suddenly lost all power forcing me to pull over. I shut the car off for a minute and then turned it back on. I drove a short ...

Inverter overheating?

Hello all my inverter seems to be getting hot and putting me into a limp mode. If I am accelerating fast or just driving for a period of time. The car will start to shutter then loose all power. Again wait roadside for a few let it cool than continue on. Sometimes I don't make it very fat before it ...

Can Bus question

I installed a screen to read the can bus however I may not have programmed it correctly. Can someone please review my parameters and can bus IDs.

I can buy time also if needed. But if it's something I can just update in the parameters I'm happy to do so.

Power drops off at high acceleration and then got stuck on the side of the road

Please see attached parameters.

Driving and hit the accelerator to the floor (little fun)... anyway. The car picked up and then almost instantly lost power. I let off the accelerator and then eased back into it. The car drove normal for a while. After about a half hour into the drive the car ...

Re: Extremely low power and poor pedal performance

Yes just changed udcmin to 200. The car now has much more power.

Any recommendations on giving the pedal a different set of parameters

Zieg I just tested the pedal again and that is what I'm seeing. Maybe I'm doing something wrong however I was following the instructions for pedal calibration

Extremely low power and poor pedal performance

Good day all!

I am having an issue with my conversion. I have a Tesla LDU and 16 Tesla model S battery modules. When placing the car in drive and applying pressure to the accelerator I have noticed it has a significant dead space. As the pedal is depressed the vehicle does not move until the pedal ...

So I'm doing some more reading and I flashed the most recent version however I don't believe that is the update you were recommending. I'm going to flash the 4.97.R-Sine. I believe this my mistake

Re: Help with parameters! Lost throttle and lost power

Thank you Johu I appreciate the quick response! Your help got me to the car show I was attending this morning.

I noticed the car is still underrated when giving full acceleration. Definitely not the snappy torque one would expect. I took some new screenshots of the current parameters. I believe I ...

Help with parameters! Lost throttle and lost power

Hello all and thank you for reading. So I drove the car a few times around the neighborhood and this is what I noticed. When pushing the throttle down It would move about 10% before any response. The acceleration seemed less than impressive and after driving the car for about five minutes it would ...

Open inverter LDU. Low acceleration

Want to thank everyone in the forum for your help!

I took my first drive recently and when giving full acceleration the car didn't drive any faster. I maintained appropriately 5-10mph
It's as if the car is in limp mode. What parameters should I be looking for? Any suggestions?

Contactor Control

Question ❓ I have the Simpbms and simp charge running in my EV conversion. I am also using the open inverter with LDU. I was controlling the contactors with the inverter and was advised it may be a good idea to control the contactors with the Simpbms. I ran key on power to the simp J5 connector pin ...

Re: LDU board first time setup questions

Thank you for the response and helpful information!
We are using two 12 volt batteries in series to spin the motor.
We wired everything up and double checked all connections. When we turn on the 12v power we hear the contactors open. After a second or two the voltage drops to zero.

What would ...

So my questions are as follows,

1) I ...
