DAY 2, running the GS450h, oil pump off.
still running fine, no unexpected behaviors, no unexpected noises.
today on my way to work, mg2 temp climbed steadily till 53 degrees C, AC on, oil pump off.
as soon as i turned on the oil pump, 40% duty, mg2 temp drops the 51 degrees C.

so far so good, nothing weird happened.
as exprected Mg2 temp is running slightly higher
normally MG2 gets to around 48-50 degree C when driving, today its was sitting more around 51-52 degree C
way to go

sooo, after mechanically locking the gs450h in HIGH gear and installing it back in the car, it wouldnt spin.... i got scared, but it was due to lose contact in the resolver wiring. after fixing that, the car drove fine.
i let it charge up and the next morning i drove it to work, oil pump ...

In theory getting rid of the external oil pump all together if possible.
The oil pump provide pressure for the clutch plates, you can choose high or low gear. But the oil pump is known to fail. No oil pump means no driving
Locking the gs in high gear means no oil pump yes driving
But no changing ...

hi, its been a while, after all my oil pump issues, i ended up buying another oil pump from Gregski.
been running fine ever since, on 40%
after a couple of moths of driving, i was cruising at around 60-70kmh, i had a torque loss, mg2 spun freely. i had to restart the car and it worked fine....for 2 ...

i ll be soldering my 6x17 caps today. and fix so muxshort fets.

- I run v2.1, v2.3 and v2.4 hardware on a 96S system and it has survived multiple power cycles
- Mario runs 96S with v2.2, how does that go?

on 120v ac if you pull more than 10amps AC, the voltage drops so low that the charger resets itself, and tries again.

when i have the vcu, isa shunt, dcdc conv, tesla charger turned on my screen updates right away.
but when i add the Flying ADC bms to the equation, the screen starts to update slower but not thaatttt slow like in the video

Inverter temp max (default derate) is 85C
i think the motor temp (tmpm) is allowed to go quite high.

Turns out My oil pump is "dead".
the main reason those pumps die seems (to me) to be water getting in the brushless motor of the pump, which then kills the resolver board. without a resolver the controller will not turn the pump. that s why i could make the brushless motor spin with a sensorless ESC ...

i opened, it seems to be a brushed dc motor, runs smooth.

on the bottom side, there s a + mark

when connected to 12.7volts, it pulled around 3-4 Amps.
its has a bigger and a smaller hole ...
